New Jersey STEM Pathways

Defining and guiding a STEM vision for cradle to career pathways in New Jersey

The New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (NJSPN) aims to attract, cultivate, and retain a 21st century workforce in New Jersey that is engaged and supported through statewide alignment of public and private STEM educational resources. The NJSPN currently oversees five STEM learning ecosystems representing nine counties within the state.

These ecosystems connect STEM stakeholders at a regional level, develop and expand initiatives to support the education-to-workforce pipeline in their areas, and engage with an international community of practice of 84 STEM learning ecosystems around the world.

A strategic public-private alliance established in 2014 by the New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education, NJSPN is funded by the Overdeck Family Foundation and has been managed by the Research & Development Council of New Jersey since 2017.
