2019 Edison Patent Awards Winners and Individual Honorees Announced

Our individual winners include: Governor Phil Murphy (Chairman’s Award), Nobel Laureate and Bell Labs inventor Arthur Ashkin (Science & Technology Medal), and Princeton University President Chris Eisgruber (Educator of the Year).  In addition, this year, 15 other research organizations made up of innovative companies and universities throughout New Jersey along with 60 of their inventors will be honored with the prestigious Edison Patent Award. On the evening of November 14th, at the Liberty Science Center, these winners will be honored with 18 unique tribute films before an audience of 250 guests, followed by a celebratory dinner.  The full press release can be found here.

40th Edison Patent Awards Ceremony & Celebration

Come join New Jersey’s research community in celebrating incredible accomplishments in research and development, innovation leadership and STEM education at the 40th Edison Patent Awards Ceremony & Celebration on November 14, 2019 at the Liberty Science Center. The evening will include 250 guests, over 60 award winners, including three special honorees, and special tribute films highlighting the impactful work of New Jersey’s innovation economy. NJ STEM Month is a celebration co-hosted by the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network and Research & Development Council of New Jersey that highlights the Garden State’s incredible accomplishments in science, technology, engineering, math and innovation.

With the support of Governor Murphy’s administration and Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker’s office, NJ STEM Week expanded to include the entire month of March in 2018. March is now New Jersey STEM Month as designated by the New Jersey State Legislature and gubernatorial proclamation.
