38th Edison Patent Awards November 2

On November 2, 2017 the Research & Development Council of New Jersey will honor inventors, research organizations, and STEM thought leaders from across the state in a celebration of Edison’s legacy and today’s innovation.  The event will include 20o guest and will be held at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. Million Women Mentors-New Jersey Hosts its Second Annual Women in STEM Summit

Last Friday, Million Women Mentors-New Jersey and Cisco hosted the Second Annual Women in STEM Summit in Iselin, New Jersey.  60 attendees gathered at Cisco to be greeted by MWM-NJ Honorary Chair Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno and STEMconnector and Million Women Mentor’s Chief Business Development Officer Lorena Fimbres.  Attendees from higher education, industry, non-profit, K-12 as well as students were presented with a series of panels on women and girls mentoring success stories in the Garden State.   Presenters included representatives from Stevens, Cisco, Latinas in STEM, NJIT, Rutgers, Accenture, Johnson& Johnson, Wells Fargo and Stevens.


Nominations Are Now Open for the 2017 Thomas Edison Patent Awards

For almost four decades, the Research & Development Council of New Jersey has honored the best and brightest patented innovations in the state of New Jersey with its annual Thomas Edison Patent Awards. The Edison Patent Awards span a broad range industry sectors and a full list of the 2016 winning patents can be found here. All nominations will be judged by a committee of top researchers based on the significance of the problem solved, the patent’s commercial impact, its novelty and utility.

Winners will be honored at the annual Edison Patent Awards Ceremony & Reception on November 2, 2017.

All submissions are now encouraged for the 2017 Edison Patent Awards.
