2001 Thomas Alva Edison Patent Awards Open to All NJ Innovators
Denville, N.J., March 8, 2001 New Jersey boasts an impressive repertoire of scientific
achievements. From the renowned figures of Thomas Alva Edison and Albert Einstein, to the
cutting-edge pharmaceutical advances of the 21st century, Garden State inventors revolutionize
the world. In an effort to recognize New Jersey's most recent R&D breakthroughs, the
Research & Development Council of New Jersey has begun seeking applications for the 2001
Thomas Alva Edison Patent Awards.
The Patent Awards, which are open to all New Jersey inventors or sponsoring organizations,
recognize the groundbreaking advances in multiple Research & Development fields. Categories
include Medical/Health, Consumer, Industrial/Defense and Emerging Technology (for companies with
less then 250 employees).
The submission deadline is May 1, 2001. To obtain more information or a nomination form, please

The Research & Development Council of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that works to
cultivate an environment, which supports the advancement of research and development activity
throughout New Jersey.
