RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL OF NEW JERSEY OFFERS FOUR ENGINEERING AND TECHNICIAN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
Denville, N.J., March 16, 2000 The Research and Development (R&D) Council of New
Jersey is accepting applications for the 2000 Technician Scholarships. Annually, the R&D
Council awards three scholarships to students enrolled in a two-year New Jersey state school
who have one year left to complete. This year, four scholarships will be awarded. The
scholarship is exclusively for students in fields such as engineering, technology, science and
mathematics.
The four scholarships, which are $1500 each, are sponsored by donations from Council members
who provide funds for full or half scholarships. Community colleges in the state of New Jersey
will receive the application forms and a one-page information sheet to post within their
schools. Applications are to be submitted by May 15, 2000 and the scholarships will be awarded
in August.
Students must submit a transcript of grades and a letter of reference with the completed

The Research & Development Council is a non-profit organization that works to cultivate an
environment that supports the advancement of research and development activity throughout New
Jersey.
The R&D Council has about 90 member companies.
